Thirteen people at a COVID-19 vaccination facility in Colorado had an adverse reaction to the Johnson & Johnson vaccine on Wednesday, which was shut down today.
Authorities did not disclose the type of reaction it suffered for less than 1 percent of the more than 1,700 people shot at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City.
The vaccination effort was funded by the state and Centura Health, more than 600 people appointed on Wednesday, were unable to get vaccinated after the early shutdown.
“We follow our protocol and with great care, made a decision in cooperation with the state to halt operations for the rest of today,” a Centura Health official said in a statement received by the newspaper.
Those receiving the dismissed appointment will be rescheduled to receive images at another site on Sunday.
