JAMESTOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) – A man in critical condition after crashing into a railing in Ottawa County on Saturday.
Happened around 7pm on I-196 on the 48th Avenue overpass, a 22-year-old man from Holland was driving westward when he began drifting off the road and crashing into a rail, the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office said in the release.
The crash had his car overturned and overturned under the freeway on Route 48, knocking him out of the car at some point and setting his car on fire, officials said.
The officer said he was not wearing a seat belt.
He was taken to a local hospital in a critical condition, officials said.
The mistake is still being investigated.
