The ferry took off after running a wagon in the East River near Green Point, Brooklyn.



BROOKLYN (WABC) — A ferry is sailing ashore and going up the East River near the Brooklyn coast.

Firefighters said it was reported before 4:15 p.m. Saturday.

according to the police The ferry was sailing in shallow water near Bushwick Inlet at the time.

Police said about 100 people were on board and were now being removed.

No injuries were reported.

FDNY Marines and ground units are evaluating the ship as it enters the water.

The Coast Guard said the situation was under control.
