- It was reported that OnePlus was planning to release a phone called the OnePlus Nord CE.
- Earlier, the device was dubbed the OnePlus Nord N1 5G.
- Expected to be the successor to the OnePlus Nord N10
Last year, OnePlus released the Nord N10 and Nord N100 as two low-cost offerings in the relatively new Nord series. As usual, the company expects to launch a follow-up phone this year. One of those devices, as told by Max Jambor, will be called the OnePlus Nord CE 5G.
Earlier, leaker reported that the phone would be named the OnePlus Nord N1 5G, however, he now claims the company has changed the name. He also said that OnePlus typically decides on the phone’s final name a month before launch, so the company might be preparing to launch the OnePlus Nord CE soon.
The OnePlus Nord N10 was released last October, so if the Jambor theory is correct, the new budget Nord could launch months before its predecessor. However, we can’t be sure of anything, as it’s still just a name leak that doesn’t provide any other information about the device.
Expected Specs of OnePlus Nord CE
The OnePlus Nord N10 comes with a Snapdragon 690 5G SoC, a 90Hz LCD display, a 4,300mAh battery, and a 64MP quad camera setup. As apparently the upcoming Nord has 5G in its name, it might come with a chip. Upgraded sets
The Snapdragon 690 doesn’t have a successor yet, so OnePlus could use one of Qualcomm’s 700-series midrange 5G processors. There’s also all the possibility that OnePlus could switch to a MediaTek chip, as rumored to do on Nord. Alternatively, the company may decide to go with the Snapdragon 690 and upgrade other specs.
A while back, Steve Hemmerstoffer. Also known as OnLeaks, it leaked some of the Nord N10’s successor. As a result of that leak, the phone’s height and weight have dropped slightly. But overall dimensions are similar to the Nord N10.It is also believed to come with a 6.49-inch display with a single drilled hole in the top-left corner. There is also a 3.5mm headphone jack on the display.
However, we will stay tuned for more information on the so-called OnePlus Nord CE Nord N10 and N100 overclocking impressive sales in the US, and the new budget phones can add to these numbers even more.
