The White House will restrict departures from India from midnight on Tuesday, May 4, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said Friday.
News Driving: The Biden administration cited a significant increase in the coronavirus cases in the country and the possible occurrence of different strains.
What she said: “On the advice of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the administration will restrict travel from India starting immediately,” Psaki said.
