There is no high-risk community for COVID-19 in western Massachusetts.



BOSTON (WWLP) – There are currently no western Massachusetts communities at high risk of the COVID-19 epidemic, according to a weekly report released by state health officials.

Chicopee and Springfield were both considered in the “red zone” last week. But has been removed in the latest update. Red zone means that more than 25 COVID cases have been reported in the past 14 days.

State health officials also reported 14 local communities at moderate risk in Thursday’s report. Yellow zone means that 25 or fewer patients have been reported in the past two weeks.
