Some people looking to get the COVID-19 vaccination in Dorchester on Monday were able to get the shots, even if they didn’t meet state eligibility requirements, officials said.
The vaccination clinic at Russell Auditorium began vaccinating people 18 and over due to a mistake in the pre-registration process, according to a statement by the Boston Medical Center, which runs the clinic in collaboration with local partners.
“The clinic has stopped vaccination for that age group and we are following state guidelines in advance of being fully eligible later this month,” BMC said in a statement.
