Federal officials said Monday that two Yemeni men were on the FBI’s terrorist surveillance program charged with illegally entering the United States from Mexico.
The 33 and 26-year-old men were arrested near Calexico Port of Entry in California in separate incidents Jan. 29 and March 30, respectively, according to Customs and Border Protection.

A record audit conducted after the two men were arrested revealed they were on a government watchlist for terrorist suspects and a “do not fly” list, officials said.
