EDEN, Utah — Authorities have released the names of two men who died after Small plane crashes in Aden Saturday morning.
The Weber County Sheriff’s Office identified them as 26-year-old Devin Criddle of Draper and 21-year-old Braeden Raleigh of Salt Lake City.
Both families delivered statements to FOX 13 on Sunday.
“Our family is heartbroken by the loss of Devin. He is an amazing person who puts the needs of others first. Sadness is the price we pay for loving someone. And the price is worth it. We also mourn the beloved aircraft pilot Bredan Raleigh and pray for them. Devin is a wonderful son, brother and friend. He dreamed of becoming a pilot and this flight was his first step on that path. We will deeply miss his energetic and compassionate personality. But we have faith in the eternal nature of our family. And we hope to see Devin again. We are grateful to everyone who has supported and comforted our families through this difficult time.”
“Our hearts are broken by the unexpected departure of our sons, brothers, uncles and nephews. Bredan has a passion for life that is infectious. He was kind, loving, funny, selfless, motivated and would do anything for him. Flying brings a lot of happiness and meaning to his life. All who knew Bredan adored and looked at him. He was surrounded by the people he loved when he left. We are all proud of the young man he became and everything he accomplished in his youth. Our thoughts and prayers remain with the Criddle family during this difficult time.”
A GoFundMe campaign was set up for the two men̵7;s families.
