Raven Software has tweaked Call of Duty two: Warzone’s most powerful weapon in a bid to shake up the Battle Royale metadata.
In the update released this afternoon, the developers made some tweaks to AUG and FFAR 1.
First of all, the AUG ̵1; aka Cold War Tactical Rifle Charlie Correction Record (the reason Call of Duty insists on using this nomenclature for its guns is beyond me).
The contraction strength is increased in the AUG, which hopefully will calm it down a bit.
“Explosive weapons are a line between inefficiency and oppression,” Raven said. “The purpose of this change is to preserve the weapon’s identity as a powerhouse while making it a little more difficult to use. It’s too easy to stay on target, given how dangerous it is, we’ll keep tabs on it. Tactical Rifle Charlie performance and make additional changes if needed. “
Now let’s go to FFAR 1, an AUG-like assault rifle brought into Warzone as part of Treyarch’s Cold War integration. ), Which will hopefully help it feel like an assault rifle and not like an SMG.
“FFAR is the jack of all trades,” Treyarch said. It details the damage and range of the AR, as well as the SMG’s fire rate. FFAR’s wholesale performance has increased SMGs during our frustrations. Fulfill the role of the intermediary Range Controller While falling victim to a weapon with short-range combat capabilities, we’re bringing FFAR more in line with what you’d expect from an AR – damage and handling range. ”
Meanwhile, the attachment has seen some bug fixes. Here’s the list:
- The rear attachment of the grip shows that ADS speed professionals should properly increase their ADS speed.
- Fixed a Groza bug where the 16.5 “CMV Mil-Spec barrel would skip the damage done.
- Fixed a bug with Ember Sighting Point where the XM4 and AK-47 had increased ADS speed instead of decreasing.
- Fixed a bug with Salvo Fast Mag where FFAR 1 and M16 had no ADS speed drop.
- Pelington 703 Wrapped Suppressor effect should display correctly in the statistics bar.
And finally, the camouflage challenge for the R1 Shadowhunter appeared correctly for the Geometric, Flora and Science Camo categories.
It’s nice to see Raven stepping in here to tackle two of Warzone’s most popular rifles, and I hope the nerfs add some variety to the meta. But the records of these revisions are again unclear. We don’t have exact statistics for these changes – although common suspects in the Call of Duty community speak fairly quickly, I think.
