We are just hours away from the Google I / O 2021 focus and have a lot of excitement for the year. Most announcements remain a mystery, though. But we can expect many Google consumer product announcements, what are you most excited about?
As scheduled for I / O 2021 is everything from Android 12 to the Google Assistant and everything in between. One of the big topics we can expect to see will be Android itself, which is likely to launch a big new visual design. Something related to the new design is the potential of a massive update to Google’s material design. The announcement of Android 12 may bring some news about Android TV and Google TV, but as we noticed during the trailer of Developers, version updates for those platforms generally won’t have a large impact.
As for the new hardware, we didn̵7;t expect much. It’s less likely that we’ll see a Pixel Buds A-Series launch, but the Pixel 5a seems very unlikely right now, Google may hint at Whitechapel to prepare developers. Instead, Nest has plans for 2021 for sure, but the I / O presence seems unlikely to outweigh the possibilities of a bit of software.
Of particular interest this year, it looks like Wear OS, a smartwatch platform that Google has largely neglected over the past few years. There was an increase in activity from Google across the platform late last year with the arrival of Gboard for Wear OS, the launch of the platform’s Tiles feature for third-party apps, and more. According to Google about the “new Wear”, which will be discussed further on I / O, it also comes with rumors that Samsung is preparing to drop the Tizen platform in the upcoming Galaxy Watch 4 series with Wear. OS instead
Our Abnerley has great details of everything we can expect to see in Google I / O 2021. Here.
Personally, Wear OS is the thing that gets me the most excited about this year’s I / O, but it’s far from the only thing we’ll see, are you? What are you most excited about following Google I / O live streams and our broadcasts? Vote in the polls and leave your comments!
