Police in Connecticut said they found the kidnapped victim while Pennsylvania police wanted him.
Police in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, warned Connecticut authorities on Monday afternoon that robbery suspect Jose Alberto Claudio-Diaz was traveling through the state. Connecticut state police said.
Shortly after they received their request, state police stopped Claudio-Diaz in Trumbull, according to the criminal summary of the case. When he was pulled over, the police found a woman who had been taken away. “Crossing the boundary line without her consent,” according to the summary.
Claudio-Diaz was arrested and charged with kidnapping and assault on public safety officials. Bond was set at $ 300,000 before his first court hearing Tuesday morning at Bridgeport Superior Court, according to the criminal summary.

Bethlehem Police did not immediately respond to a request for comment on details of the theft case. Connecticut State Police said they had no new information to disclose.
